There’s two ways to play the Em7 chord on guitar. This way (the one in the picture) is the easiest. Just a one finger chord!

However you can also play this cord by making an Em and also pressing down fret 3 on the B string to make a three fingered chord.

With all guitar chords there is often more than one way to play them.
